This is the main entrance to the GTG technical college. It is a school co owned by the Swedish car manufacturer Volvo, and is heavily focused on the demands of the modern industry concerning automation, mechatronics and maintenance. The main learning facility is located inside the Volvo plant in Gothenburg where about 130 students strive for excellence.
Hi Martin, are any students offered employment with Volvo when they complete their education, depending on their performance?
ReplyDeleteHi Stephen! Missed to give you a reply, sorry.. Well they do all their work based traing at volvo so they do have quite a lot of contacts at the end of their education. And yes, the adept ones do get an employment.

ReplyDeleteHi Henrik. No that is of their own choosing. The education has a good reputation and is applicable to many industries. Two thirds of the students go directly from the school to higher education before getting a job, but if their good they get headhunted back to Volvo off cause....
