  1. Hello. How many electrician-teachers work with you and how many students do you have in class?

    1. Hi Henrik, there is one other electrical trade teacher working with me. We share the teaching load between us, usually splitting the day in morning and afternoon, but I teach all day Monday and the other teacher teaches all day Friday. We also split the units of competency so for example this week I will deliver the same competency for the whole week in my sessions and the other teacher will deliver his competency in his sessions. There is another teacher completely dedicated to pre-apprenticeship class but we will have to have his assistance in a couple of weeks when we have a double apprentice group.. We only have a maximum of 14 students for a standard class, though have exceeded that number in special circumstances, double group as mentioned above of 14+ to 28 apprentices.

  2. Hi Stephen. Do you have any contact with the students at their workplace between the weeks at TAFE?

  3. And do their employer report anything to the school about their performance there?
