photo 3

As I´ve mostly worked in construction and installation as an electrician my main focus is what can be related to that. The photo shows a lab/ workstation that is part of a course in different ways of controlling a electrical motor. This one´s a two speed motor controlled by a PLC. ( So not exactly what I´m used to... Boom there goes my focus;))

  1. Hi Martin, in Australia we have to teach the apprentices (fully employed only come to TAFE for theory directly related to their trade having completed their standard schooling before commencing trade) a broad spectrum approach to the trade and so they do cover installation of wiring as well as understanding application of PLCs.

  2. Well the same is of cause true in Sweden, it´s just the fact that I don´t have much personal experience of PLC applications in my actual working career. I´ve had to brush up quite a bit of knowledge before meeting the students;-)

    1. Well that´s one of the challenges of the drill. As always the more you learn the easier it gets, and the students are quite eager to "get it ".
